Kealakehe High Sets Open House for Aug. 23
Kealakehe High School will host its annual open house on Thursday, August 23 starting in the Cafeteria at 4:30. A lite dinner (including vegetarian option) and beverages will be available as a school fundraiser. Resource tables will be set up to get information about: College Readiness, Migrant Education Program, Travel Club, Spirit of Aloha Program, Mali‘e Learning Center, Athletics, and other school information.
After a welcome greeting, parents will be directed to follow their student’s schedule (6 classes), spending 10 minutes in each class with 6 minutes for passing. This time with teachers is not for conferencing and appointments can be made if parents wish. Parents should come with their student’s schedule. (Help will be available if a parent does not have their student’s schedule.)
This event is planned for “WaveRiders”, their families and the Kona community to visit the school, see the campus, meet teachers and find out more about the educational programs offered at Kealakehe.
If you have questions, contact Linda Jeffrey (327-4300, ext. 2432) or Connie Simon (327-4300, ext. 2436).
